Distribution

Nomex, polyester film, Kapton and many other contents that are relevant to the composition of the insulating package are distributed by DMI which maintains stocks and converts into fibers stamped, creased and even heat-formatted parts.

FWE

Tubes & windings
FWE results from the winding of fiberglass and epoxy resin roving. The final product offers high dielectric rigidity and strong mechanical resistance.

Hand lay-up Laminates

Air Deflectors, Angles
Through the hand lay-up or Spray up processes, larger dimension parts are molded in wooden molds.

Mica Tapes

Porous, "Resin Rich" and conductor tapes
The mica tapes are mainly applied on the insulation of generator stator bars or coils. Different structure features can be offered according to different mica paper thickness dimensions, different reinforcements such as fiberglass, glass veil and even polyester film. Besides these variables the resin content functions as a vehicle and even impregnation means for the final consolidation of bars and coils.

Molded and Cast

Eye Coats and others
The molding process is performed by high compression and temperature using BMC and SMC fillings. The epoxy casting is also provided through molds, but it requires less mechanical performance as it utilizes epoxy resin injected with low compression fiberglass mat reinforcement.

Plates and Machined items

DMEs, DMPs, DMS, Conductives
DMI presses plates in epoxy, polyester or silicone. DMI’s machining sector is structured for machining parts from plates, tubes and molded parts in general, attending to different tolerance and finishing standards. Due to the process high flexibility, the machined parts are used on rotors, stators and even in bindings.

Prepregs

DMPORMATS, Nomex®, Tripreg®, NMN,DMD,Feltros, Mats and Tapes
Prepegs are raw material products usually impregnated with epoxy resin at state B polymerization. They are commonly applied on rotor poles and stator bars and coils, functioning as a consolidation vehicle. Besides this vital insulation function, the Prepregs are used as securing wedges due to their expanding capacity when heated and in contact with resin.

Pultruders

Epoxy or semi-conductives
The pultruders have been increasingly applied on serial applications frequently replacing machined profiles that are replicated in projects.

Semi-conductives

Tapes, Sheets, Pultruders and Machined items
Rigid or flexible, the semi-conductive line of products has had its use continuously increased as these products improve the distribution of electrical loads in areas where total insulation is not required.

Tapes

Fiberglass, Polyester or Hybrid
Impregnated or non-impregnated tapes are used on final bandage of bars and coils offering additional mechanical protection.
